Bulgaria is an incredibly diverse country with beautiful and unspoiled nature, spectacular landscapes and a unique combination of mountains and sea.

Bulgaria Spirit

There is a spirit in Bulgaria, something you won't feel in those other places which have developed according to some stereotype.
Bulgaria is a natural, lovely country, and without exception the people are open, warm, kind, and very appreciative of a foreigner's attempt at gaining even a limited Bulgarian vocabulary.

Folklore & Traditions
Bulgaria is rich in folklore traditions such as folk dances, native music, national costumes and traditional rituals. These traditions hold an important place in the heart of Bulgarians. Every person and group celebrates holidays and folk festivities in a special way.

The richness of cultural and historical monuments, including ancient Thracian, Greek and Roman ruins, makes Bulgaria the perfect destination for explorers. Many of the cultural monuments in Bulgaria are listed under the protection of UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Location
Bulgaria is bounded to the north by Romania, to the east by the Black Sea, to the south by Turkey and Greece, and to the west by Serbia and Montenegro and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Climate
One advantage the Bulgarian climate has is that it is predictable, which means it allows long-term planning of a holiday. The country has four distinct seasons. Summer is long and pleasantly hot ( around 25º - 30º C), winter is cold and snowy (temperatures stand around 0º C). Spring and autumn are breathtakingly beautiful and the moderate temperatures make them suitable for all kinds of holiday.

Bulgarian Cuisine
Bulgarian Cuisine has grown out of wealth of culinary traditions, both local and foreign, combined in a way which is uniquely Bulgarian, offering cuisine with its own characteristics, originality and exceptional variety.
Famous for its rich salads required at every meal, Bulgarian cuisine is also noted for the diversity and quality of dairy products and the variety of wines and local alcoholic drinks such as rakia, mastika and menta. Bulgarian cuisine features also a variety of hot and cold soups.

Tourist Destination
Bulgaria is an attractive tourist destination, which offers vacation opportunities to people of all ages and in all seasons. Half of the territory of Bulgaria is covered with mountains. Rila and Pirin are the tallest and are to be found in the southwestern part of the country. Sparsely populated, with picturesque alpine lakes, both are perfect for rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, playing golf or just for taking a walk. In addition, the Black Sea Coast has over 370km (232 miles) of coastlines with sandy beaches and numerous attractive resorts which are ideal for both traditional seaside family holidays or more active stays.  Bulgaria is beautiful, ancient, interesting and mysterious.
According to official statistics, a total of 4,360,239 foreign tourists visited Bulgaria between January and October this year, which reflects a 5.79% increase year-on-year.

More and more people are focusing on the investment opportunity in Bulgaria. Prices remain low despite the fact some properties have seen their value double since 2002. What is also important is it is absolutely safe and the cost of living is very low.
